Starting July 1, 2022, Bonaire will implement a new entry tax. This tax will replace both the tourist tax and car rental tax. Visitors will have to pay $75.00 per person per visit for ages 13 and above. For ages 12 and below and former Netherland Antilles residents will have to pay $10.00 per person per visit. This tax can be paid electronically, which will be available starting June 15, 2022. Another option is to pay upon arrival at the airport.
Starting January 1, 2023, a cruise ship passenger tourist entry tax of $10.00 will be implemented. This will replace what was formerly referred to as a head tax. The cruise lines will be responsible for collecting and paying this fee on behalf of visiting passengers.
