We are delighted to offer our Southern Land Tour with Verna as part of the Treasure By The Sea experience. It is one of our favorite ways for guests to discover Bonaire and you will almost certainly see flamingos along the way. The southern region of the island is where they gather in large numbers around the salt flats and mangroves, creating a stunning backdrop to observe them peacefully in their natural habitat.

You will explore the southern coast of Bonaire in comfort with Verna, a certified island guide, traveling in her air conditioned vehicle. Along the way, you will pass the iconic salt flats, the historic slave huts, and the dramatic shoreline that makes this side of the island so striking. It is a relaxed, scenic drive with wonderful photo opportunities and easy wildlife viewing, all without the heat or rush.

Bonaire's underwater world starts just steps from Treasure by the Sea. The House Reef is the perfect introduction to snorkelling on the island — shallow, calm, and absolutely full of life. With an easy entry, this is the ideal first snorkel for all ages and experience levels.
Don't let the word "shallow" fool you — this reef punches well above its weight. Keep your eyes open for octopus, squid, seahorses, and if you're lucky, eagle rays gliding past underneath you. Along the way your guide will help you put a name to the incredible variety of fish and creatures you encounter.
Finish your snorkel with a relaxed walk back along the shore or swim it back — Take home a short personalized underwater video of your experience to remember it by. This trip is approximately 1 hour.

Each stop showcases something different; unique coral formations, new marine life, and the kind of underwater scenery that keeps snorkelers coming back to Bonaire year after year.
This one is for the adventurous snorkelers who are comfortable in the water and ready to discover the island like a local. Your guide knows these reefs intimately and will be with you every kick of the way, sharing fish and coral ID along the route.

This one is for the snorkel fanatics - the detail obsessed or anyone who's ever pointed at a fish underwater and wished they knew exactly what they were looking at.
Before you even get in the water, we sit together at the shore with a fish ID book and go through what you're likely to see that day. By the time you enter the water you'll already know your parrotfish from your trumpetfish, your fire coral from your brain coral, and everything in between.
Once in the water, no question is too small and no detail too obscure. This tour is entirely led by your curiosity - spot something interesting, ask about it. That's the whole point!
Location is completely flexible and chosen based on where you want to explore - your guide, your reef, your call.

Relax and let Bonaire's incredible fish life come to you! Your local guide will be alongside you the whole way, pointing out species and sharing the stories behind what you see. After we choose a location together, we’ll enter at a designated site and walk our way back - making it easy for everyone!
No experience with snorkelling? No problem. Your guide will walk you through everything before you get in the water. Pool noodles will be supplied if you want this tour to be really chill. This trip is approximately 2 hours.
